What it does today
- Answers common questions, with links to the report the answer came from
- Turns a simple sentence into a proposed journal entry, with a confidence figure
- Suggests accounts from your history and your rules
- Reads a CSV bank statement and suggests an account per line; you create entries one at a time
- Points out anomalies in posted books
- Forecasts cash 30, 60 and 90 days ahead from what’s due, not from predicted sales
- Lists what to fix before you prepare a return
Does Ask Ledger send my data to an outside AI company?
No. No AI provider is connected. Ask Ledger works from your own books on our servers, so it answers common questions rather than anything you might ask.
Can it post entries or file returns?
No. It only proposes. An entry it suggests opens in the journal editor, and nothing is saved until you press Save draft or Post. It never files anything.
Can it read photos of bills?
Not yet. Reading photos and PDFs needs an AI provider, and none is connected.
